Star Vs The Forces Of Evil relationships are really good

When I first started to watch this show I instantly became attached to the main character, Marco, due to how relatable he was. He was the nerdy try hard who had a crush who was completely out of his league. This set him up as a great character because you knew he didn't have a chance to get Jackie due to his awkwardness. And yet by the mid season finale in season 2, they don't only go on a date, they became smooch buddies. This was completely unexpected but really rewarding. We had seen Marco throw up and be cursed in order to get this girl. He has battled his worst fears to be with her and has grown so much as a character by them going on a single date. Yet, it is all for nothing due to Marco seeing the blood moon. The blood moon symbiosis how Marco and Star are eternally bonded together. This one scene has been debating point for fans due to us still not knowing what "bonded together". Does it mean that they will love each other for ever,  or does it mean that star and Marco will be "just friends". Well I will go over both ships and choose the one which develops the characters more and which one would be a good lesson for kids, because its a kids show.

The prophesied Starco

When the blood moon first appeared in the episode "blood moon ball" Starco fans became crazy due to the possibility that Star and Marco could become a thing. However as I stated before, we don't know weather the blood moon means that they are destined to love or destined to be in the "friend zone". There is more evidence pointing it towards Starco because of what Mr candle said to Tom in the episode "mr candle cares" when he says "Starco is completely platonic". This suggest that Tom is worried that Marco and Star are destined for each other. However he still thinks there is a way that he could have star due to him saying "you forgot the most important part....Me!". This supports the idea that the blood moon makes people "Just friends".

Another reason why Starco fans have been saying that the relationship must happen is because Star likes Marco. What compelling evidence use! Sure star has a crush on Marc, specifically shown in "My new wand","The sleepover" and "Bon Bon the birthday clown". However this does not mean that the relationship will happen.

Another reason why Starco could become a thing is because of how Marco almost sacrificed himself to save star from the black hole in "Bon Bon the birthday clown". However this could simply be a friend thing. 

The final big piece of evidence again relates to the blood moon. In "Bon Bon the birthday clown" after Jackie and Marco kiss, he sees the blood moon in the sky. Marco looks up at it bewildered whilst Jackie looks at Marco with Sparkles in her eyes. This shows that on subconscious level he is always thinking about Star. Too be honest this is the perfect time for Marco to start having feelings for Star if there will be Starco. On the other hand the blood moon could be a warning for Marco that Star is in danger.

Possibilities if it were to happen

If Starco does happen, it means that Jackie and Marco would have to break up, of cource. This means that for at least half a season we would have a depressed marco dealing with the break up. Sure the writers could just go from Jarco to Starco within the same episode but that would make Marco look like a douche.

In addition it would teach the audience that if you hate someone enough then you'll eventually get the guy. What I mean by this is that when star used the All Seeing Eye to spy on Marco she accidentally broke Jackie's skateboard due to her hatred of not being with him. This teaches children a terrible lesson.

These are the only problems that I have with Starco. Aside from one tiny little thing. I personally prefer Jarco.

The Current Jarco

When Marco finally admitted that he had a crush on Jackie in "The sleepover", it was a giant wave of character development coming down on all of the Star vs the Forces of evil. Admittedly I expected Marco and Jackie to remain friends but after this episode they start going on dates. And then the kiss. This was the point which Jarco fans flipped out because their ship has finally been confirmed. Marco has had a crush on Jackie since the episode "matchmaker" and from that episode we slowly see Marco get closer and closer to being with her. 

Why do I prefer Jarco when there's so much more for Starco

The reason why i prefer jarco is because it makes Marco character develop a lot more than it would with star. For example, on just one date with Jackie we see Marco develop from the nervous wreck into a dating pro. This is seen when Marco tries skateboarding for the first time. Sure Marco battles monsters with star but that was a do or die situation. He could've walked away from the board but he kept rolling with it. I can see why people liking the idea of Starco but I still think that we have been waiting too long to see Jackie and marco to get together to just replace her. In addition with Jarco, stars character would develop. How you ask? We could see star slowly become more and more angry with jealousy. We could see her try to use darker spells which we have only seen one of so far. Also we could see a sad star arch were she has to accept the fact that Marco doesn't feel the same way. This  would make star seem like she has grown a lot from being immature in the beginning of the show. Overall Jarco would give Star more development that Starco would.

The Final Prediction

Recently the rest of season 2s episode titles have been released with two names catching my eye for this topic. These are "Collateral damage" and "Just friends". These two episodes are episode 33a and 33b. This could mean that they are a two parter due to them being in the same time slot. However due to these titles, I think that in the first one star will finally tell Marco about her feelings for him and it will cause Jackie and Marco to break up. But in "just friends" Marco will choose who he wants to love and break the heart of the one who he says no to. I Honestly want Jackie to be the one that marco  picks but its going to be star. If I had to bet anything it would be for Starco. And thats not a bad thing, its just something that I didn't want to happen. On the other hand this episode could focus on Toffee coming back and how star and Ludo have to work together to take him out. Either way the rest of SVTFOE sounds like its going to get a little weird, and a little wild.
